Wednesday Book Conference events canceled
As a result of the severe storms expected in the Oxford area this evening, the University of Mississippi will close at noon today. Unfortunately, this means that Imani Perry’s lecture at 6:30 p.m. and the opening night party at 7:30 p.m. are canceled.
The conference will resume as scheduled Thursday, March 31 beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Kate Clifford Larson (“Walk with Me: A Biography of Fannie Lou Hamer”) in conversation with Ted Ownby in the Overby Center for Southern Journalism and Politics. We look forward to tomorrow and Friday, and we’ll see you there.
