Rose Cailiff Scholarship now accepting applicants

Rising Juniors! Apply for the $500 Rose Cailiff Scholarship in Southern Studies

In order to apply for these scholarships, students must:

*be a Southern Studies major;
*have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.5 in Southern Studies classes;
*submit a 250-500 word essay in response to the following prompt:

How has being a Southern Studies major affected your view of the region, the nation, and the world? Which course has had a particular impact on your world view? How do you apply what you have learned in Southern Studies to real-world settings? Successful essays will use specific examples.

Submission deadline is April 1. The two undergraduate advisers and the director of the Center for the Study of Southern Culture will review submissions. Submit materials to cssc@olemiss.edu.
