Ole Miss Giving Day set for April 8-9
The University of Mississippi will host its sixth annual Giving Day on April 8 and 9. We hope you consider supporting the Center for the Study of Southern Culture.
You can donate to the Center for the Study of Southern Culture and specify how your funds should be used, or consider contributing to these two specific challenges that will unlock a gift. Scroll down the 2025 Giving Day page to participate in these challenges:
The Arrington Challenge for the Center for the Study of Southern Culture: Linda Arrington (BA 1996) of Oxford wishes to honor Southern Studies emeritus faculty: the late Dr. Ann Abadie, Dr. Charles Reagan Wilson, and Dr. Ted Ownby with her gift to the Center. Upon receiving 15 gifts, she will contribute $600. Contribute now to unlock these funds today!
The Rosen Challenge for CSSC Graduate Students:
Marc Rosen of Atlanta, Georgia, an enthusiastic supporter of the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, has pledged to donate $8,000 to his Graduate Student Support Fund once the CSSC receives 25 gifts. Thanks to Marc’s ongoing generosity over the years—and yours—we can support graduate assistantships for multiple students in our MA and MFA programs. The focus of the Center remains on students who pursue a variety of careers enriched and enhanced by their time reading, writing, and thinking in our interdisciplinary regional studies program, the first of its kind dedicated to the U.S. South. Support Southern Studies students with your gift today!
Your gift – regardless of size – makes a difference.
Even if we meet the challenge, please donate to enhance our chances of attracting the highest number of donors in the College of Liberal Arts. Dean Cohen of the College of Liberal Arts has generously pledged to award the unit or center with the most individual donors an extra $5,000(this is double his offer from last year!).
Please consider supporting the Center with any amount to help us compete for these additional funds!
We are grateful for your support.
