In the fall 2020 semester Dr. David Wharton taught SST 598, Photographing Place in the American South, which focused on the relationship between local cultures and the physical world(s) such cultures create. And while pandemic limitations required some flexibility on what we normally consider the “American South” his students more than rose to the challenge.
