Cam Calisch has a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Mississippi, where they are now pursuing an M.A. in Southern Studies. As a UM undergraduate, Calisch organized, studied with, and struggled alongside students and workers across the state with the United Campus Workers of Mississippi, which had a profound impact on the way that they see higher education. Calisch’s research centers around documenting ways that communities organize, survive, and take care of each other in pursuit of collective liberation.
