Porter Fortune Keynote Lecture by Paul Harvey

Dr. Paul Harvey of the University of Colorado will present “Judgement, Grace, Race, and the Transcendental Blues: Studying Religion in the South in the era of Charles Reagan Wilson” at 4:30pm on Friday, February 27 at the Yerby Conference Center as part of the Porter Fortune, Jr. History Symposium on Southern Religion and Southern Culture.

Paul Harvey is Professor of History and Presidential Teaching scholar at the University of Colorado. He is the author/editor of eight books, including Freedom’s Coming: Religious Cultures and the Shaping of the South from the Civil War through the Civil Rights Era and co-author of The Color of Christ: The Son of God in the Saga of Race in America.
